Hello, Dolly!, the musical based on Thornton Wilder’s 1955 farce, The Matchmaker, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2014. In honor of the occasion, an anniversary production will travel across the nation to more than 70 cities.
As reported by Broadway.com, “Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Sally Struthers will star as meddlesome matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi in the 50th anniversary national tour of Hello, Dolly!.”
The tour’s first performance will be Saturday, October 5, 2013, at RVCCArts, a community-based performing arts center.
