The Next Thornton Wilder Society Zoom Play Reading: The Alcestiad.

On Saturday, August 13th at 7pm Eastern Time we’ll be reading Wilder’s last full-length play, The Alcestiad. Written in the tradition of early Greek tragedies, The Alcestiad tells the story of Admetus, King of Thessaly, his wife Alcestis, and the triumphs and tragedies they endure as favorites of the god Apollo.
